Sustainably made X-Pac® Fabrics Obtain Textile Exchange RCS Certification

Leading the way to build stronger brand and consumer trust through complete transparency of X-Pac® fabrics made with recycled materials

To ensure transparency and showcase its commitment to ethical and environmental standards, Dimension-Polyant has earned RCS (Recycled Claim Standard) Certification for its sustainably sourced X-Pac® fabrics, strengthening trust with both brand partners and consumers.

Considered the gold-standard certification for sustainable materials, the Recycled Claim Standard, issued by Textile Exchange, certifies the presence and traceability of recycled content in materials used in products, ensuring that a specified percentage of recycled material is incorporated. It aligns definitions of “recycled” across industries, verifies the accuracy of recycled content claims, and provides transparency for brands and consumers to make informed, sustainable purchasing decisions.

The Recycled Claim Standard is developed with input from international producers, suppliers, brands, and retailers. It involves third-party certification bodies that audit each stage of the supply chain to ensure compliance. The standard includes chain of custody certification, which ensures traceability and legitimacy of recycled content is maintained from feedstock through to the final product.

Our RCS-certified X-Pac® fabrics include X-Pac VX21 Ocean Edition (OE), and X-Pac® RX Series (RX 15, RX 30, RX36).

The face fabric of X-Pac® VX21 OE four-layer laminate is constructed with GRS-certified, 100% recycled regen™ Ocean nylon made from discarded fishing nets.  Additionally, VX21 OE is strengthened with X-PLY® fiber reinforcement technology made with 100% post-consumer recycled polyester, and a lightweight taffeta backing, also made with 100% recycled post-consumer polyester.

Our X-Pac® RX three-layer laminate series (RX 15, RX30, RX36) is made with a 100% post-consumer recycled polyester face fabric and X-PLY® fiber reinforcement.

“Manufacturers today are under growing pressure to implement sustainability across their operations, said Taylor North, Dimension-Polyant Global Head of Technical Fabrics. “Third-party certifications play a key role in validating these efforts, strengthening trust with both brand partners and consumers.”

While very proud of its RCS-certified X-Pac® fabrics, Dimension-Polyant’s commitment to sustainability extends far beyond the use of recycled materials, which we will share soon in our next blog story. Stay tuned!
